Thank you very much! Sometimes I think reviewers don't have any more idea what will sell than I do I have a few images that sold (elsewhere) that are just really strange while the 'pretty' ones sit idle. I did resubmit and they got rejected again! grrrr, is there any way I can appeal this? These were also accepted on two other sites (one of them within hours of uploading) But in this series (industrial abstracty stuff) I have sold the most on this site and wanted to give whomever is buying them more variety to choose from since the other ones like this account for over half my sales on this site.

I think your black on the right is too black it draws my eye away from the clock and scenery beyond it. Interesting shot though. Perhaps you can crop it vertical to eliminate the flat textureless wall of black on the right? Make sure to add silhouette to your keywords / title if it isn't there.

and they were rejected for lack of asthetic or commercial appeal... For the record, File ID: 185928490 and File ID: 185928442 should I just resubmit or is there something else wrong with them? and for comparison, one of my best sellers... yeah, just the thumbnails, not full size.

It is a beautiful image. As to file size, you have to be careful if you are cropping an image down. Also, it is best to shoot with the largest file size your camera / device allows. My camera is only 10mp and I have to be very careful with cropping and resizing.

I agree as well... What I would try is (after following Szalam's instructions for making the flower pop) 'cut' the rose and the leaves that go with the rose, move them down into the corner more, and put everything else out of focus quite a bit more. Perhaps increase the 'canvas' size before blurring, and bill it as a background. After all, it doesn't cost anything but a bit of time to try again.

Perhaps the top one tells a more complete story? The bottom one seems a bit plain, the bomb graphics are less interesting, and it keeps drawing my eye off the bottom corner rather than into the photo.

When an artist submits their work for approval, some things get rejected. Sometimes it is because of a technical oversight on the part of the artist, or it just isn't what Adobe is looking for. Often times the category an image is rejected under is too generic to be of any real help to the artist. Those who determine what to accept and reject are (I'm sure) quite swamped. It would be unrealistic at best to ask for personalized comments. My idea is this: When choosing a reason for rejection, have a drop down list of 5 items the evaluator can choose from to narrow down the issue. For Example: Under / Over Exposed Too bright Too dark Not enough contrast Too much contrast (over and underexposed) Glare Would this be possible? It would greatly reduce the frustration of new contributors and long time participants alike, trying to guess at what Adobe wants for submissions.

The front legs are in focus and part of the abdomen, but when shooting a 'creature' if the eyes are visible, it is crucial they be in focus. they are just out of focus. Your depth of field is a little too shallow. Awesome spider though, I hope you get a chance to capture one lit it again. Try shooting a ruler at different apertures to learn how best to set your camera to capture an inch or two in focus. This should be good for most insects.

Personally what I would do is isolate the buildings from the sky, brighten and up the contrast on the buildings a little. Too much and it'll look weird. Then inverse the selection and reduce the exposure on the sky just enough to bring back a little more texture in the clouds. Happens to me a lot, the sky is too bright and I lose contrast / detail in the darker areas. Love the photo though.
